Donnie Brasco worth owning? - Blu-ray Forum

want some opinions to how is this flick?

I have it on standard DVD, it's really good. It's not a highly visual film, and although I REALLY like the film, I will not be repurchasing it on Blu or HD DVD until I can get it on one of the formats for 10-12 bucks.... If you don't have it on Standard DVD, I definitely suggest picking it up on Blu-Ray.

trust me this movie is a-m-a-z-i-n-g compared to the vhs and dvd versions ... it looks stunning a must own and its probly only like 15-20$ now go buy it!

Movie is one of my favorites. If you liked Goodfellas you should enjoy this as well. Personally Goodfellas is the superior out of the two but the character development is better in Brasco. This and Heat was probably one of Pacino's last good movie roles.

As for the PQ, it's great but I tend to think it's a little overrated based on the "wow" reviews that I've read. Solid 4/5 transfer.

If you enjoy gangster films or good acting, you'll probably like it. Both Pacino and Depp are very good in this.

I love the film & that is 1 of my 20 or so SDDVD's . The Blu-ray version is a must, the PCM & PQ

GREAT MOVIE, one of the first I got in a BOGO sale! I am so glad I picked it as I was not sure it was a good movie either. DO IT DO IT! (Starsky and Hutch style)

Reservoir is on its way to me and i own donnie got it on ebay for 6 bucks so its worth it. but to agree goodfellas is the best

love this movie, i think its better than goodfellas, thats right i said it... i have the dvd but i picked up the blu for $15. DO IT!

that's downright blasphemous. I love Donnie Brasco, in fact I just watched it last night. Like said before it is not a visually stunning film, save for the nice, rich, maroon colored pleather 70's style jackets....

I have the SD and the Blu. I would recommend it to anyone who digs gangster films.

But Goodfellas is the ****ing holy grail. Well, to me.

Well, Goodfellas is the grail, The Godfather is everlasting life itself.

Sorry, watched the Indy trailer 5 times already!
