Default $1500 Budget

I only have $1500 to spend for receiver and speaker set up (to work with Samsung 4671F LCD and PS3). Any recommendations on what to buy?

Onkyo SR605 Receiver with the SVS SBS system...

That set up would end up costing you in the $1500 range.

A rocket setup from AV123.com and that Onkyo will also be nice.
I'll admit that it won't have the bass of that SVS system though.

Is $1500.00 the limit or could there be further monies down the road.If there will be i would recommend a receiver and a set of full range floor standers and then fill out the set as more money becomes available. It will mean no surround sound right away, unless you already have some but in the long run your system when finished will be far better.

You can never go wrong with an onkyo set.

$1500 is the limit. This will be a birthday gift for my husband. I can stretch the budget only if I don't feed him starting tomorrow until his birthday next month.

$1500 is a healthy budget to work with, you can get an amazing system for that price that you all will enjoy. Not everything has to cost 5 grand to be awesome.

The SVS system would be a nice all in one kind of deal that will literally blow you away. You can also look into Ascend Acoustics for speakers and get either an SVS or Hsu sub to compliment the system.

Go to www.avsforum.com and check out the speaker section, lots of information on the SVS, Ascend, Rocket, etc. speakers.
