Multichannel? What does this mean? how do I know if its playing in Dobly 5.1 or True HD, My reciever is capable of both.

hit the display button on BD Remote. Will show which audio is playing.

For Dolby TrueHD the PS3 has to output as Linear PCM.

my set up:

Infinity speakers all around, JBL subwofer
Onkyo-TXS-804 receiver
PS3 (blu ray player) Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii

The Onkyo TX-SR804 is not capable of decoding Dolby TrueHD. The 805 is, maybe you have them confused?

It is normal for the PS3 and your Onkyo to display Multichannel...have no worries. You will still be hearing DolbyTrue HD as long as you output the PS3 as Linear PCM.
