A Blu-ray movie played on a 720p TV will look better than a DVD upconverted to 720p and better than a 720p HD brodcast (since the HD broadcast is heavily compressed). I dont know how a 720p TV supposed to look better than 720p?

Also, iono what TV you have, but most 720p sets can do 1080i.

I have Sharp Aquo 32" 720p and the picture just look stunning.
When play Live free or die hard. Certain looks like I'm looking out my window.
I'm still planning on upgrading it to 1080P though

If you have a 720p DLP, then they'll look better being downconverted at the player to 720p rather than having the image interlaced, then deinterlaced, and then converted to 720p. Maybe that's what the OP was asking, if they'd look better at 720p on a 720p TV rather than at 1080i on a 720p native TV.
