This may be Switch's "final" year so MP4 could be a launch game for the successor of the Switch.

It's up for pre-order on BestBuy, not yet on Amazon.

Banger of a Direct for me. Prime with dual stick control, a date for Pikmin 4, Sea of Stars and Advance Wars. The Etrian Odyssey and Baten Kaitos collections. 14 new NSO titles and a new Layton title and a Ghost Trick rerelease.

*edit*
How could I forget a new Samba de Amigo? Loved the original on Dreamcast.

I've been waiting months for this as I never got to play the series on Gamecube, so I may actually have to play a game on my Switch again.

$120 for 3 games doesn't sit right with you? Aren't there single releases still going for $90-100+? How do people afford that?

Nintendo needs to step up on the Gamecube re-releases with Metroid Prime 2 and 3, Pikmin 1 and 2, Luigi Mansion, Paper Mario and Thousand Year Door and Pokémon Colosseum and XD remastered.

Considering they've charged $60 for barebones ports of Tropical Freeze and Skyward Sword (which is actually more than those games cost when they originally released), $40 for a remaster that actually has a lot of work poured into updating the visuals is surprisingly reasonable for Nintendo. It's still more than it should be, but it's not as bad as it could've been.

And if you really wanna save money, Primehack is always available.

Played for about an hour and it's an absolute joy to revisit this game. I'm having a hard time deciding between the new controls and the classic style. I think the new dual analog controls are very good but I always really loved how the game played originally. It still feels natural to me after all these years and it's just a unique part of what has always made this game so great.

Blame the Nintendo loyalists who have turned Nintendo games into an investment rather than just an enjoyable hobby.

They think of it as "Nintendo games never lose their value so you can re-sell it later for what you paid." and of course Nintendo got into it too (just look at Mario 3D All-Stars).

It’s been rumored for a while if the other two are coming that they’re just upscaled and less effort than this one.

I'm getting physical edition, I had a £5 gift card from shopto when I preordered god of war ragnorok, so I'm getting this for £24.98, not a bad price for me

Quote:
Apart from Iron Galaxy, the remaster's credits list a number of support studios: Airship Images Limited, Atomhawk Design, CGBot, Gamesim Inc, Liquid Development, Original Force LTD, Shanghai Mineloader Digital Technology, and Zombot Studio.

While it's unclear how long this port has been in development, a number of developers credited in the remaster apparently started work at the studio in early 2019, just after the announcement Retro would be taking over the development of Metroid Prime 4. In the past few years, some of the same developers have left the studio. Retro has also been regularly recruiting.

The Last Of Us Part I was 80€; so I‘m very fine with Nintendo charging only 40€. They charged 60€ for Skyward Sword.

Evidently, MP Remaster looks definitely better and modern, but did it make use of the analog triggers on GCN? The Switch only has digital triggers so hopefully it doesn't hinder the experience.

Mario Sunshine was also ported/remastered for the Switch and they got around the analog triggers issue.

At that rate PS6's remake of TLoU will be €100. (Hopefully there won't be another remake)

Not to sound too pedantic but technically the GameCube controller didn't have analog triggers. It had analogue shoulder buttons.
