Default The Wedding Singer

What a shame, the is one of my favorite comedies, why does New Line give a less than stellar Blu Ray of this great film? I'm kinda pissed that thay ditched most of the supplimentals from the original DVD(which a so-called friend borrowed and never returned to me!) like the 5 Karaoke Tracks,The Trivia Game and Photo Gallery are all AWOL on this Blu release, but still still they call it the "Totally Awesome Edition",all they did was add a featurette on the Wedding Singer Musical, well at least the Original Trailer is here, does NOT live up to it's name! The PQ is slightly better than the DVD,but not by much, the sound is great though,at least I only paid 10 bucks for it at Target(I had a $5 Target GC,the Blu was in sale for 14.99),thar's all this Blu is worth,if that! Fans of the film deserved a better treatment on Blu,they could have easliy put all the supplimants from the previous DVD! On a A to F scale i give it a C.

It's worth it for $6.99, plus it is the unrated cut which includes a scene I've never seen elsewhere.

I think the OP was referring to the fact that all the DVD extras have been excised.

I was just asking for the bluray.com review doesnt have tons good to say about the video on the blu. You cant go too wrong for $6.99...and the movie is great (imo)...but if the video aint happening, I would rather spend my money elsewhere

I'm sure it could be better, but it's still a very nice upgrade from the DVD. I'm pretty sure it's called 'Totally Awesome Edition' because it's the unrated cut. I always thought the original DVD features were lame anyway, so I don't miss them, never got the Totalle Awesome Edition DVD, don't know if it had any worthwhile features. Maybe we'll get a re-release eventually with a nice commentary or something.

It's absolutely his best film, in my opinion.

Eh the picture quality was not bad but the audio was pretty weak. I remember having to put my sound bar pretty high. Got it at a local CD Exchange for $5, so I’m not complaining.

This movie could really use a fresh new scan. It’s showing its age.

Absolutely! I'd pay even more for this. I love this film... and it has Steve Buscemi AND "Billy Idol as himself..."

Even the review says, "It's worth mentioning that, in a direct comparison, the high definition presentation outclasses its standard DVD counterpart in every conceivable way. "

Maybe I'm really weird (I am) but that seems reason enough to pick this up... especially if there'll never be an Upgrade.

This is another example of, if and/or when this comes out in 4K, it is going to be a night and day difference than the ancient Blu. At least Warner is righting a wrong here.

See Training Day, Elf, Space Jam, etc..

rented this from the library. I don't understand the low video rating. It's not the best scan ever, but it's definitely watchable and the best it's ever looked. I watched this a TON on vhs and dvd back in the day. I'm watching it now on a 135" projector and there's no pixelation or digital noise. 4K would be nice of course, but the picture is just fine.

10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th anniversaries successfully missed. Great job WB. This film deserves better. It should’ve had a quality 4K by now.
