Cop Out -- July 20, 2010 - Blu-ray Forum

Warner Bros.Warner Home Video has announced Cop Out: Rock Out with Your Glock Out Edition for release on Blu-ray on July 20 in a BD/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack. This buddy movie, starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan, was the first film that Kevin Smith directed but did not write. It will feature WB's Maximum Movie Mode, here redubbed "Maximum Comedy Mode."

Special features include:

Maximum Comedy Mode with Kevin Smith and Seann William Scott
Focus Points
Wisdom from The S*** Bandit

When I try to watch the disc in the Maximum Comedy Mode -- it gives me the options of resuming, starting from the beginning, or cancelling. When I highlight any of the choices I press ENTER or PLAY nothing happens and I have to eject the disc.

I'm using a Toshiba BDX 2000 and no firmware updates are available.

Anyone know what I can do to get this to work?

I don't find Tracy Morgan funny at all. This movie would've been better with Chris Rock instead.

Do you have another blu player that you can use?? It could be your Tosh.

Nope. It's the only bu-ray player I have. I don't see any firmware updates for Toshiba as of yet. Could it be a faulty disc?

It seems that none of Warner's Maximum Movie Mode works for my machine... This is another one that when I press play, the screen goes black, and does nothing. The only button that works is STOP.

Really sucks....
has any one else had this problem with a Momitsu player?

I think the first time I saw this that I didn't realize how bad this film was. I watched it again on some channel and dear God, Bruce Willis was carrying the entire movie on his back, but even as good as he is he couldn't save it.

The conversations with Tracy Morgan felt dysfunctional, disconnected and from time to time he'd behave like a little kid. It was all so awkward.

I wouldn't doubt that some of the dialog of Bruce was just him being honest than saying the script.
