Default I must be the only one that doesn't care...

...about bonus content, PiP, chat, internet interactivity in my blu-ray player?

I seriously don't care about any of these features and I just want to watch the movie. I would even prefer not to have a menu and have it go straight to the film.

What's the big deal about this stuff? Is it really going to effect the outcome of this war? Seems like everywhere I look, people are talking about bonus content this and that and how it will matter.

I don't care either. I updated my PS3 to 1.1 last night and I've seen what PiP can do on HD DVD demos but I could care less. I think in my entire life I've watched extra features on only two movies. Just give me the main feature in glorious HD at a reasonable cost!

I think it's just a huge marketing bullet point right now.

You are not alone. I think lots of us are in it for the movies, and rarely if ever run the "extras."

I look forward to the Blu profiles getting sorted out though so the extras will no longer be a talking point for the blu haters.

You're Not the only one that doesn't care. The problem is that it is one thing that HD DVD can do that Blu-ray that can. The HD DVD camp is holding on to that with all they can.

"Well Blu-ray has more capacity and bandwidth so it can delivery better audio and video quality. And so what that blu-ray has more support for studios and CE companies. HD DVD can do picture-in-picture."

No one actually gives a damn about PiP, its more about taking a talking point away from the bobbing heads who work for microsoft, then it is about the actual content. Awesome PQ/AQ and great movies TRUMP ALL OTHER FACTORS.

I care because there are people out there who do and would go to the dark side (red) just because of those useless features.

Other than some "Bonus Content", I don't really care about any of that other stuff either... but I HATE how WB and some Disney films go straight to the movie! I HATED it when it was that way on DVD, I HATE it NOW!

Yeah, and those who think these features and disc capacities will mean automatic victory over HD-DVD are sadly mistaken. If you want to assure victory-one format or the other-better make the hardware affordable and offer deals on the software. There is no clearly discernible picture superiority either way.

As long as I get to watch the movies I want in HD Video and Audio I'm happy. Couldn't care less about extras except maybe the gag reel.

It's just an extra selling point. When consumer look at it and they go. Hey this format has more features. Look at the Angle feature on DVD. I only came across one disc (Metallica concert)so far that uses that feature. Most poeple just want to pop the movie in and watch it.
How many of you really watch special features of DVD?

Of course PQ & AQ first. BD just has to do all this 1.1 & 2.0 stuff so there is nothing that Blu-ray cant do that HDDVD can , and now were here. PiP is crap online stuff is crap but if these features get us a win then there worth it in my book & I dont care about any extras. So what does HDDVD have that Blu-ray does not??? Anything??? At all??? LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

I mean, I won't have a problem having the PiP function, as long as there's a good purpose for it.

I was watching the Focus Points for Harry Potter, and happy they were in HD. I started thinking...why would I want to watch these in a little box over the movie? That is not...what I want from extras. Simply putting extra features over the movie is not a good use of PIP.
