Get a router with AOSS. It makes it a lot easier to connect the PS3.

You have a I.P address pool. Put a start and end pool range of 5.

DHCP server > On Off
The DHCP server function makes setting up a network very easy by assigning IP addresses to each computer on the network. It is not necessary to make any changes here. More Info

IP Pool Starting Address > 192.168.1.X
IP Pool Ending Address > 192.168.1.X

You can use the X as a start range and end range. Then that amount of I.P's can be used.

You only need to change the last 2 digits. I would recommend changing the 1 before the X as well. Make it 80 or 91 or anything.. then the X needs to be 1 starting and say 5 ending. Then you have 5 I.P's. Verify what your PS3 has chosen by going into network settings.

It sounds like duplicate IPs are being leased out on your network for some reason. Maybe reset your router back to factory defaults and start from new.

Sounds to me like he has a DHCP range of 1, therefore only one device can access the router at any one given time. Either that or DHCP is turned off.

Sounds like a DHCP issue. Do you have one router for your network or multiple?

Man I am so confused on how to properly set this up. I don't get it. My signal strength on the ps3 could be 90% yet I am getting logged off on Playstation Store and getting network error. I end up having to reset my router to get back online with the PS3. It happens OFTEN. Meanwhile my PC is always connected online.

If I get a router with AOSS, does that just set it up for you? Does it provide a much better signal/connection? Right now I am using a linksys 2.4 GHZ. wireless router. Which router would you recomend with AOSS?

Thanks for any help!!!

using the MAC address of your PS3 reserve a IP using the DHCP Reservation, that will solve your problem and save you $$$

I have a minor in Information Technology with router do you have? I can help you out.
