Finally! I missed out on this title years ago when I had it in my hands and set it down. Never did find another copy. Good to see Shout doing Hammer... I'm looking forward to watching this for the first time.

?? The 3-pack DVD from Millennium that included it was in-print until just recently and is still cheap! Not that you need it now, of course.

Nice coup for Shout. I believe this is the first release worldwide of this movie on Blu-ray. Far from my top tier Hammer but there's little doubt this will finally present this movie in at least decent to hopefully great quality on home video. It's looked pretty rough to absolutely terrible on various old VHS, Laserdisc and DVD releases and I can't believe Shout would go ahead with this if they didn't have a source that easily eclipsed what's come before.

It is, this is their first release that's exciting to me. I thought we were just going to get a parade of D-list new releases ala Vengeance of She and US releases of the many Studiocanal things that have been released overseas.

I like this more than almost every Hammer Dracula. It has a terrible rep and it's stupid, but man is it a lot more fun/entertaining than everything post-Brides.

The AB DVD had the Peter Cushing narrated soundtrack LP included.
Would be nice if Shout adds that in too.

2 versions is nice, but the re edit runs 75 min and the full film runs 89 min.
The Millenium DVD ran 86, from PAL speed up ( weird on a US dvd ).

Bit of a fail there with those run times, no doubt they will sort it out.

I'm very selective about which Hammer titles I get, but 7 Golden Vampires is tempting for the action and Cushing.
