SYNOPSIS
The con is on when scam artists and lovers Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale) and Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams) are entrapped by ambitious FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper) and coerced into participating in a major sting operation which hinges on snaring politician Carmine Polito (Jeremy Renner) and his associates. Complicating matters is Irving’s wife Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence), who could bring the whole operation crashing down around them all. From the director of Silver Linings Playbook and The Fighter, AMERICAN HUSTLE is outrageously entertaining and one of the most acclaimed films of 2013.

One of my favorites. I was never perfectly happy with the Blu-ray for this one, either (too much content on one disc so lower bit-rates and some compression). Can't wait to own the 4K.

Not that it's some Marvel VFX-fest, and it was shot 2-perf anyway, but this got an end-to-end 4K finish, VFX included.

The Blu-ray was in dump bins everywhere, but this is such a great flick. Will make the upgrade for Dolby Atmos & Dolby Vision.

This movie has grown on me over the years. It feels a bit like Director David O. was channeling Martin Scorsese.
