Do it. I watched it for the first time last year and loved it. I will be upgrading my Blu-ray immediately.

Arguably Kubrick's best. I only own it on DVD, so it'll be an easy buy when released in the USA.

Certainly Week 1 for me! I know they used to say FMJ ran out of steam post-boot camp, but I always enjoy both parts. Late in the film, there's a long pan of a demolished city in which Kubrick puts the $$$ on screen and makes you feel like you're in 'Nam. . . .

I love the first chapter of the movie, after boot camp it gets pretty stale. Would definitely still buy at the right price.
