Default Your favorite LOTR film? *poll

What is your favorite Lord of the Rings film?

For me, it's The Two Towers. It seems that the 2nd film (much like Empire Strikes Back and Dark Knight) was a little darker and grittier. I loved the character(s) of Gollum, and the Battle at Helm's Deep was my favorite LOTR scene.

What about you?

Edit* I didn't put an option for "I like all them all" because almost everybody, including myself, would automatically select this option, and thus this thread would be pointless.

The journey taken in Fellowship was just so great - the action was incredibly varied - as much as I enjoy Towers - I'll never get that same feel when I saw Fellowship and was completely wowed.

Return was my least favorite, since much of the dialouge was getting a bit thin by then. How many times can they say "The world of men" and "From, in, back, fallen the shadow(s)".

Plus, I always thought that main bad guy orc looked like the deformed guy, Sloth, from the goonies.

I voted for The Fellowship of the Ring. I love how they introduce the characters and intro to the story...

The Two Towers, they were all good, but this one just sticks out in my mind.

I liked the first one and the build up to the action.

the scenes in the lush shire, in bilbo's home, how the characters meet, the simple interaction etc were more interesting than the action scenes in the later movies, which, while good become a bit redundant.

I totally agree. Additionally Fellowship was our introduction to Middle Earth and so had the privilege of really wowing me and charming me into the series.
Though I will admit that Two Towers had the best intro with Gandalf and the Balrog.

All three are equally awesome, and I cannot choose one over the others. I must resist the temptation to watch the movies on DVD. My next viewing must be in Blu.

I chose Two Towers. But if I had to choose an hour from not I may pick one of the other two. The point is I LOVE all three and I hope, hope, hope that the BD's will be awesome.

I chose Fellowship of the Ring. My Favorite book. But with fellowship I was completely in awe. I couldn't believe they pulled it off. Plus My wife loved it and fell in love with middle earth. She read all the books and is excited for the hobbit.

Fellowship has always been my favorite. It contains the most stuff (Shire, Bree, Rivendell, Moria, Lothlorien, River Anduin, etc.) and was the first LotR thing I ever saw. It's what got me into it. Two Towers is second favorite.
