I have a question about HDMI. Please no speculation. Just those who KNOW.
I had Comcast HD until this morning. Comcast's HD box had a DVI output. Uverse was installed. The Uverse HD box has HDMI. Now I have sound, but no picture going into my DVD recorder. I am using the 3 analog RCA jacks for video and 2 channels of audio coming out of the Uverse HD box. I called Uverse and they told me that it is the standard to disable any other video outputs when HDMI is being used. I disconnected the HDMI from the Uverse box and sure enough there was picture. Is what Uverse telling me BS about the HDMI standard? |

Another example is on home theater PC's - even if dual displays are connected to the PC, HDMI/DVI output can only go through one output. |
