Default "10,000 B.C." Trailers

Click here to check out all three trailers for Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures' "10,000 B.C.," starring Steven Strait, Camilla Belle, Cliff Curtis, Omar Sharif, Tim Barlow, Marco Khan, Reece Ritchie, Mo Zinal, Mona Hammond, Joel Virgel Vierset, Suri van Sornsen, Joel Fry, Nathanael Baring and Joe Vaz. The film opens March 7, 2008.

All I can say is CGI overall still has quite a ways to go before becoming truly photo-realistic.

In all fairness trailers routinely have FX shots that aren't finished in them. The problem isn't whether CGI can be photorealisitic, it's whether studios want to provide the time and money to get it beyond "good enough".

We'll have to see when the movie is released (at the very least it's doubtful that final color grading has been done).

Visually so far it looks interesting, and might be pretty cool (lots of action!)
Story-wise it will probably be so so, as most of Emmerich's movies.

My wife really wants to watch this, so I suppose we'll see it on release date.

As iNCREDiPiNOY mentioned, it does seems to be the result of Jurassic Park and Apocalypto. It seems cool. But I'm sort of in the same boat as katharsis. I'm sure it'll be very imaginitive and visually stunning, but the story will be just eh... I'm putting it in the same vein as Emmerich's "Day After Tomorrow."

That doesn't mean I won't see it. I just don't have high expectations of getting "moved" by the plot.

I like the Apocolypto storyline as well, but that film was Mel Gibson, not Roland Emmerich...

Regardless of how the film turns out (I think it looks fairly crappy), it is obviously more of a fantasy than anything else considering its many, many inaccuracies or complete falsities (for instance, the characters are speaking English in the year 10,000 B.C. ...).
