Visually so far it looks interesting, and might be pretty cool (lots of action!)
Story-wise it will probably be so so, as most of Emmerich's movies.

My wife really wants to watch this, so I suppose we'll see it on release date.

As iNCREDiPiNOY mentioned, it does seems to be the result of Jurassic Park and Apocalypto. It seems cool. But I'm sort of in the same boat as katharsis. I'm sure it'll be very imaginitive and visually stunning, but the story will be just eh... I'm putting it in the same vein as Emmerich's "Day After Tomorrow."

That doesn't mean I won't see it. I just don't have high expectations of getting "moved" by the plot.

the storyline can be pretty good...

I liked the Apocalypto storyline..
