Default help!! with hdmi length

ok i have a ? about an hdmi cable. i have an optima hd70 projector that i would like to mount, the distance of the cable will be about 40 feet from ps3 to projector and i am wondering if anyone has used the ( Tartan Cable 24 AWG HDMI Cable ) from bluejeanscable and what your feelings are on running it that length.

i am getting ready to start finishing my basement and putting in a home theater, i am going to install a ( series 1 cable ) from blujeanscable when i do the cabling for the theater, so i didn't want to spend alot of money right now for a temporary hdmi cable install in my room and the tartan cable would only be $35 for 40 feet, i am just wondering if that cable will work at that length.

the cable will more than likely work fine...the question is does your optoma send out a strong enough signal? (probably, but you never know)

Don't get the tartan...you should really get there best HDMI cable...the tartan is good for short runs and their best cable is a much better cable for long runs like you are going to have to run...

Any run greater then 25ft get their best HDMI cable from BJC...anything under 6ft get the tartans and any run inbetween you can get the F series...
