I was in circuit city today & noticed Ratatouille playing on a Samsung #LNT5271F It has a 120hz frame rate & 25000:1 Contrast ratio, & it looked AMAZING!! almost 3-D'ish, I currently own a Phillips Model#: 47PFL5432D/37 it is 1080P
Now my TV looks great but NOT nearly as good as the Rat copy of blu playing on that TV anyone with suggestions or answers there's links below for full specs of both TV's Philips: http://www.consumer.philips.com/cons...37_US_CONSUMER Samsung: http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/d...XAA&fullspec=F Last edited by DViper2399; 03-09-2008 at 09:57 PM. |

Yeah I tried asking a CC employee, but I always feel I know more than them(and I'm right, I Do!! lol) but his only answer was oh that's Samsungs baby! I told him I had a Philips LCD 1080P, DirecTV & PS3/Blu-ray hooked up via HDMI to a Onkyo 605. & I could tell I confused him! lol

I think the contrast ratio, and 1080p/24 with true 5:5 pulldown is more important than the 120hz feature. But thats cool to.

I went from a 6000:1 Samsung (LNS4695d) to the 25,000:1 (LNT5271f).
Let me tell you, contrast ratio is VERY important. I never knew what I was missing until I saw the difference. My buddy has the 15,000:1 69 series, and I can see the difference it that, big time. |
