I feel your pain, I know exactly which tv you're talking about. Only if I waited a little longer I would've gotten that one. On the 120hz and contrast ratio subject, I don't know all the details because I'm just a consumer. From my own understanding, that tv has a special feature called " Auto-motion plus" that reduces motion blur. That's why when you look at it at Best Buy or whatever, it looks really smooth. I wouldn't pay too much attention to the contrast ratios because they come in low and high ratios that the naked can't see.
