Need help on this (2xPS3's problem) - Blu-ray Forum

Here is my problem,

I would like to buy a second PS3, but there's a itch.
Since PS3 uses bluetooth remotes, and they tend to have quite a good range.
When I'll it the PS button on the remote, won't it start both consoles at the same time even if they are not in the same room???

Is there any ways to assign the remote to one PS3 in particular...

If any one as 2 Playstation 3 consoles, please help!!

I thought the same thing when I bought my second PS3.

But...the Bluetooth remotes have to be registered to the PS3, so no, they wont turn both on.

as for the game controller, you have to connect it via the usb cable to recognize it...so only the PS3 you connect it too will recognize it

I have 3 & there is NO problem with this. Its almost like it picks the closest one to turn-on, so dont worry

Its just like bluetooth headsets. Just because someone has a bluetooth headset by your bluetooth phone, doesnt mean they can talk on it. The Remote has to be "paired" or registered to one system. So it will only work on that system until you switch the pairing to another one.

Thanks for you're responses, I'll wait the 120Gb version (It is rumored to be released in april) and buy it as my second PS3
