Default Blu-ray theater in a box

I was wondering if anyone knew of an upcoming home theater in a box that included a blu-ray player and 5.1 speakers. I have a very nice set in the family room, but was looking for something a little less impressive and compact for my son's bedroom. I would like something compact enough to have the receiver and bdp all in one, maybe with an HDMI input so he can hook up his PS3. Our home theater is downstairs and right next to our bedroom, wife and I both work 24 hour shifts. It would be nice to have something he can watch upstairs and enjoy while not keeping us awake on those saturday mornings when we've been up all night. Any ideas ?

Both Samsung and Panasonic announced systems at CES. The Samsung is expected to run around $1,500 (but will be 7.1 out of the box).

Samsung HT-BD2 (7.1 out of the box)
Panasonic SC-BT100 (5.1, expandable to 7.1)
Sony HTP-BD2RSF (5.1)

if your son already has a ps3 i think you may be better off just buying a htib that has a receiver with a hdmi input that you can connect a ps3 to. I know that there are sony ones available that will allow you to lable an input for the ps3 or for a blu-ray. I think this option would save you a couple hundred dollars

with what you said you want to do with it that sony in the post above looks sweet and it is only $350 you would use the ps3 as the blu player and that would even give you true-hd over pcm i don't think it would get much better than that for even close to that amount of money

I dont know why I didnt think of that as an alternative, I guess I'm one that still sees the PS3 as a "game machine" which is kind of silly considering it already IS an awesome BDP

Default all audio sources

This sony does not have a dts tru hd decoder does it?
That is what I do not get. If they are going to make a model and receiver with speakers why would they not add all these different sound formats that are coming along with BR discs? I actually wouldnt mind getting a nice little receiver with speakers that support all audio for BR and hook it up to my Samsung BR player. Does anyone know if there is anything like this available yet? I know in time there will be. You figure you get a great Onkyo or Denon receiver for 500 that supports all audio formats and Sony is usually pretty good on there prices. No, there speakers arent going to sound like Cerwin but living in a condo would do the trick just fine for me and I am sure for a lot people. Those who do not want to have a huge over powering system but also want the benefits of truDTS and TruHD. Is anyone aware of any models out that have just a simple receiver and speakers that will give you all the audio you need via HDMI? That would be killer in my case. Ideally I would like to get the bose acoustimass and an Onkyo HD receiver but I would think in time if not already they have something that you could get?
Maybe it is already out there and if there is a place to ask this would be it.
Any ideas folks?
