Default The Consumer they call us!

Bought 'Blue Planet' the other day. Good value, and wonderful quality. Replaces my conventional DVD of the same title which replaced my Laserdisk. Don't think I sprung for the VHS of that, but it got me to thinking. Obviously part of the purchase cost is the interllectual rights of the movie. But wouldn't it be nice if the movie studios would recognize that we have (in some cases) paid those rights over and over again and provide some kind of rebates for previous purchases. Probably impractical, but I suppose many of us have followed the progression of VHS to Laser to DVD and now to Blu-Ray. Of course there may be the odd poor sod who can add HDDVD into that chain!!!
