BLU movies on TV before blind buys

Does anyone else watch catalogue titles when they're on TV, to see if the movie itself is good enough for Blu-ray? I know some members here refuse to watch anything in standard definition anymore, but I just like movies! If you don't like blind buys, TV is a good way to check out movies before buying them on Blu-ray.

I haven't heard many good things about Netflix...long waiting lists, damages discs, packages getting lost in the mail, etc. I think I'll stick with Blockbuster.

This is just another (FREE) option to preview a movie. Not everyone subscribes to unlimited monthly rentals, and individual rentals are no bargain at $7, plus the price of the Blu-ray if you decide to buy it. I think more people have cable than Netflix, so this is for everyone else.

Good call, there have only been a few spectacular new releases and a lot of lame Box-Office stinkers (I'm looking at you 'Brave One') on Blu.

Usually I buy new releases and I have most of the time already seen them at the theater. I go to the movies alot.

the HD Channels I view for movies are: HDnetMovies, MGM-HD, Universal-HD.

Saw Ghostbusters in HD last week. it will be a fantastic Blu-Ray when it does show up.
