Default Question: PS3 with iLO LCD TV

Hi. I'm new to this hd stuff, but I got a PS3 for Christmas, and I'm wondering if anyone knows if ilo LCD tv's HDMI are hdcp compatible, I can't find this info anywhere one the web, but the price for a 32" ilo HD lcd is more than resonable.

Thanks.

Hi. I went out and bought a hdmi cable and an ilo 32' lcd from walmart, and the ps3 played Talladega Nights at full 1080i, sweet, I'm ready for HD!!

Thanks guys.

Incidently, has new line cinema gone hd-dvd exclusive, or will they release on bd as well, I read on anoter site that Blade may be released on bd at some point in 2007.

How is the picture quality on the iLo TV?I scene them on display at Wal*Mart and thought they looked like nice TV's and I came close to buying one but then I end up buying a Samsung LCD instead.
As for New Line I believe they will be releasing in both Blu-Ray and HD DVD as they are own by Warner Bros.

Hi. As for the quality of the picture on the ilo tv, I have the 32" lcd, and I think the picture is really nice. I really don't see the need for paying more for a "top tier" display, when this one (in my opinion) is perfectly good. Now I know there are people who are more tech savvy then me, it's just my personal opinion. If you liked the picture quality, I'd say they're worth a look.

Default PS3 ILO Question/Comment

Cue it to have an 32" Ilo LCD and PS3 and I am wondering what you did to get the HDMI cable to work for you. I recently went to Best Buy and purchased a $160 cable with HDMI connectors on both sides and could not get it to work?? Any advice since you apparently got yours to work. I really want to be able to play my games in HD!!!!!

US$160 for a HDMI cable? Even if it was working I'd say RETURN IT! A cheap US$10 HDMI cable works too.

Use the Five-Second Power-up. It'll auto-sync the PS3 and the monitor. I think it is in the PS3 manual.

South Asia is not where I'm at. Southeast Asia, yes: Hong Kong and Taiwan. March will see a formal release. Right now everybody's importing from HK or JPN or paying a HUGE premium (roughly US$250) for the bundle.
