Yes, it's a few years old. So what. It serves me.
Somehow, I changed the audio source to "Multichannel PCM", and now it's stuck on it. I can't switch between the THX settings or the "All Stereo" settings at all. It keeps saying "not available" when I push the THX button and the ALL ST button. Anyone know what the hell I did, and how to correct it? Thanks. |

never heard of it getting stuck before.
![]() but if worse comes to worse, reset the receiver...be warned you will have to reconfigure the settings (so use as last resort) Pg 94 user manual: To reset the AV receiver to its factory defaults, turn it on and, while holding down the [VIDEO 1] button, press the [STANDBY/ON] button. “Clear” will appear on the display and the AV receiver will enter Standby mode. |

Well it's not so much as it being stuck, it says it's "not available" or it's "engaged". Problem is, I don't know how to "disengage" it. With it being on, I can only switch between a few sources that PCM will allow. Bullshit like the "Pure audio" "Stereo", "MultiCH", "Direct" settings.
PCM MultiCH is highlighted on the display. I can't switch to my THX settings, or even the "All Channel" setting at all. I need to find out how to turn it off from the "PCM MultiCH" setting. That's all. ...I just don't know how. Last edited by dustin410; 04-16-2008 at 09:56 PM. |

I'm trying to get the receiver off of the PCM MultiCH setting. I turned it on somehow, and now I can't turn it off. I'm using the "V1", the one button, for my PS3.
While on "V1" normally, I can switch between the THX settings and the All ST settings at the push of a button. Now however it says that setting isn't available. It's due to it being set on the PCM MultiCH setting. Because of this, I now can't watch a blu-ray movie or play a game with the surround on. It's making me so mad! Please help me. ![]() |

Well, i think i know what you are talking about. The main question I have is, what are you trying to run, meaning is it like one of the new audio formats or something else? I would think that for the new audio formats, you cant have the receiver mess with it because it cant decode and is already decoded from the ps3. This is a theory of mine.... if its something other than the new audio formats, switch the ps3 setting to Bitstream the material to the receiver, this should work. let me know...
