Default Big Phil's Big Boots Filled

Quote:
UK, May 16, 2008 - Sony has formally announced Phil Harrison's successor, with company veteran Shuhei Yoshida taking the post of president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios.

Yoshida has been with the PlayStation project since its inception, and has earned production credits on the likes of Gran Turismo and Ape Escape. Since March 2007 he has been acting as senior vice president of product development for Sony Computer Entertainment America. His new role comes in the wake of Phil Harrison's shock departure for Atari earlier this year.

Kaz Hirai, Sony Computer Entertainment CEO said of the appointment, "Under the leadership of Yoshida, who has proven track record in managing creative talent, SCE WWS will accelerate the software development for the PlayStation 3 and PSP platforms and vigorously expand the gaming market."
