Is it just me or did someone hack amazon.com?

Last ten minutes it has just been this: Http/1.1 Service Unavailable

Three other people I chat with are getting the same message.

Just recieved Rambo BD from Amazon today and not only will it not play but its doing strange things to my PS3... F***ING Amazon!

I doubt they got "hacked" and seriously doubt they underestimated demand for any of their items. My guess would be they've lost electricity to their area or some similar type of event caused the site to go down. It will return shortly.

Access is intermittent. I can get in if I keep retrying the links. They must be overloaded for some reason. Possibly equipment failure.

I'm having the same problem. The following bad things have happend today in the US:

1. Unemployment had the biggest rise since `86
2. The Dow has fallen over 300 points
3. Analyst’s predicted that a barrel of gas would reach $150 a barrel by July 4
4. Amazon website is down

What's going on today???
