Default Ps3 skins

I am pretty bored by the looks of my PS3 slim, so I decided to buy a skin I stumbled upon..

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Resistance-Fal...item439d3be1e1

Does anyone know how good these actually look? They look good on the pics, but who knows if they are as good in real life!

I'm sure some of you may find it ugly, but I love it and Resistance was the first game I played on the PS3 so I will always look at it with fond memories

I'm wary of putting any skins or other mods to any console as that make cause extra heat which would be bad. Plus I might suck at putting it on and it would have HUGE bubbles.

I have applied a few skins over the years for my nieces and nephews game systems. Flat skins tend to be a pain to apply since you get air bubbles unless you have lots of experience doing them.

I've had much more luck with channelled adhesive skins. They have groves in the decal so you don't get air bubbles when applying. Not sure how common this is but have had good experiences with this type of skins.

I've indluced a website that I have used in the past that uses this channeled skinned which I prefer as it's much easier to apply.

In the past I have also provided pitcures and had customized lettering (name) placed on the decals. Not sure if they still do this or not.

I have succesfully applied a skin on my laptop so I figured I'd be able to do this as well.. If I just do it VERY slowly and make sure there are no bubbles inch by inch I guess it will work?

Plastic external surface of the PS3 is not part of its heat managment/dissipation. Decals such as these when used as intended, do not cover vents.

With its plastic, glossy surface I imagine some sort of static cling would work well on the PS3.
