Do you like those keyguard keyboard skins?

I bought 10 of these Fellowes keyguard skins to go on the new keyboards of brand spanking new Dell computers. Beautiful machines with 20" widescreen LCD monitors. Waited two weeks for them and they came yesterday. I spend my time putting these on every machine. In reality, I could have thrown it on their desk and told them to have at it.

Today, two people already peeled theirs off. They say they don't like how they feel. Fortunately, they found a good home before the sticky surface became worthless.

These are customized and only fit the keyboard they are designed for. Now I have an extra I ordered for another machine and no home for it. Wasted money. Meanwhile, they guys in the dirty work areas love theirs.

I don't get it. I can't force them to use it. I'm just glad the guys in the dirty areas are taking pride in their machines. They never had the brand new stuff before.

If one of those users tell me, "I spilled a coffee on my keyboard and need a new one." guess what my reaction will be? Yes, these are adults and should know better. But you know why accidents happen? Because they are accidents!

When I was away at training for my Air National Guard job the computers sat behind you without keyboard skins. But they DID enforce one rule. NO FOOD OR DRINKS ON OR NEAR THE COMPUTER TABLE. PERIOD. Even the top NCO's in the class had to obey that.

Ever use them? Like it? Love it? Hate it? Indifferent?
