PS3 Skins - DecalGirl - Blu-ray Forum

Has anyone ordered one of these before? How do they look? Can you post some pics of it?

I'm curious, but I also like the look of my PS3 as it is so I don't know if I even want to try, but seeing some nice quality artwork may change my mind.

(Yes, that MGS Special Edition PS3 I posted about earlier has inspired me to look into this)

My father actually ordered one of those to what he thought would fix the casing of my chewed up PSP, but then I told him that I needed the whole case replaced.

Ah so you never actually got it then? I'm mostly curious as to whether or not it looks as it's advertised. All the pics look digitally edited/created to me.

i got one of these for my wii over a year ago. just didn't like the white look in my tv stand (everything else is black). its pretty good, but don't expect it to look perfect. if you mess up putting it on you could have air bubbles too. other than that everything else is good.

But it is high quality fabric (vinyl I'm assuming?) and the colors look as advertised?

Does it fit well over the system too or will there be noticeable lines where the fabric ends and stuff?

I may try this out on my PSP before getting one for my PS3. Then if I don't like it i can just trash the skin.

i think the fatheads look nicer and better too. I have a lakers one and it looks awesome

I can't waite to get a skin for mine. I'm getting a matrix skin. I' love the whole "code" thing going on.

Interesting. How do they 'stick' on? Are they there permanently? Or is it like buying one of those screen protectors for smaller devices?

I just ordered an Ipod Classic one. If that goes well I'll get a Ps3 Slim one, although I wish I could get a God of War III one or an Uncharted 2 one.

DecalGirl doesn't seem to have game themed ones.

I found that too. I would venture that they aren't doing gaming ones possibly to avoid any kind of infringment lawsuits being thrown at them, tho' I have seen some other non-gaming artwork that would beg to differ with that (I thought I saw a Gundam one).

Still, they do have a nice selection of skins. And they're not dedicated to just game consoles happily. Just wish I could switch out multiple skins as easily as I do the themes/wallpapers on my XMB

Now that called some nice option for the skins. It will make it easy to protect my ps3 from dust and all that hostile conditions.

My worry would be if they effect cooling.

Probably not, plastic isn't exactly the greatest heat diffuser out there as it is.
