Thumbs up Well my Panny DMP-BD10A is working again

...and I thought I should report back here about the good service I received from the Panasonic service center.

First a summary: I tried to fire up the player one day and it froze on "Hello." Tray would not open. Tried disconnecting power, no luck. Reset button combination routine didn't work. Button combination to force open tray worked, but didn't clear up the problem. So the call center had me ship the unit to the service center in Elgin, IL. (Unit is still under warranty).

They received it from me last Wednesday, and I got it back, fixed, yesterday. Which means they turned it around in about one day and shipped it back to me via 2-day service.

Obviously it was a bit of a PITA to have it freeze up and have to ship it, but kudos to Panasonic for the good service to make it right.

Gave it a full workout last night, the first time the BD10A ran through the Okyo receiver, no problems at all.
