Default Stupid question : Lionsgate cogs intro

On some movies the cogs are nice and shiny. Some movies the cogs are rusty and old. Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm thinking catalog titles are rusty

I thought it was horror movies that were rusty. Could be wrong.

I've actually noticed this as well, and I agree it probably has to do with horror films. Kind of a nice little touch.

Yeah, its the horror titles, that have rusty cogs. I noticed it when we had watched 3 lionsgate films somewhat close in time to each other.

I stared at your words for a really long time, and I finally figured out what you were talking about. I will look into it myself.

Yeah it's just like how Paramount will vary their logo on movies too depending on the theme. I've always liked the "customization".

Warner Brothers does it too (a la Matrix and Batman), as does Dreamworks (Gladiator).

It probably is the horrors which have it. I think at least 3 of my lionsgate movies are horrors and its probably those that have rusty cogs.
