Default Window behind TV or behind viewing position?

I have one window in my future HT room. The way the room is shaped it will either be behind the tv or behind the viewing position. Given that all things are equal what would be better. Btw, I'll be blacking that window out as much as possible wherever my tv ends up. I hate light.

I would say behind the TV, to avoid any pesky reflections. But black out that window as much as possibe!

i would think it would be a toss up.

if you have ever done any calibrating, it clearly shoes that the color and brightness of light around your screen changes how you perceive(see ) the color

Or do you want the light reflecting off the screen

i have the same issue you do, definetly put the TV in front of the window so that the seats are facing the window

I have my TV in front of the window and it works out great.

If its LCD you should have minimal if any glare from wherever you are. To me, personally, I'd rather have the window behind because I can control the light better.
