PS3 Disc Cracking?

This has been bothering me today. However, I don't think the PS3 is the cause, I think its the cases. My Advent Children DVD and MGS 2 Substance disc have cracks visable on the centre circle of the disc. Ive checked all of my PS3 games and they have no cracks on them, and PS2 games that ive played for many hours on the PS3, and again no cracks.

So this must be to do with the cases, as both the Substance case and Advent Children case, the 'attraction' (game, movie respectively :P) are on the additional flappy part in the 2 disc cases. This must be down to the way the discs have been taken out? As ive never noticed the cracks before until now, and this is when ive been watching/playing them. Ive noticed that in that flappy case, the circlular area where the disc is held feels pretty rough.

Ive had my 60GB PS3 since launch here in the UK, and there have been no problems, this must be me being paranoid. Ive been careful with the discs, so its quite worrying. Can anybody put me at ease lol?

I don't think you need to worry. I had bought NFS Most wanted day it came out. I take care of my discs, 2 weeks later i noticed cracks near center. It still plays fine. It's not like your system will increase the reading speed. None of my other ps2 or ps3 games have that. Maybe happens during packaging. Thats all i can think of. If you can or want maybe return and swap for a new 1.
