Serenity announced for December in Japan - Blu-ray Forum

Universal will finally start releasing in Japan as well. I'm not 100% positive, but it looks like all the other titles they announced are coming out or are already out in the US, so hopefully that means Serenity will be coming out in the US around the same time or earlier.

It also says there will be both U-Control and BD Live features. I don't believe the HD DVD had anything like this.

Awesome. According to the page, Universal will now leave HDDVD definitely behind, also in Japan, and start releasing everything on BR, starting with 10 titles in December:

Glad to see the Mummy movies are in there. These deserve to have a JP release

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Universal Jp said they'd be abandoning HD DVD shortly after the main US branch did.
