Default Vizio Plasma VS. LCD Opinions Please!

I was wondering which Vizio HDTV you think is better. the Vizio Plasma VP322 or the Vizio LCD VW32L?, both tv's are 32in and 1080i,720P, sorry I don't know how to provide links for you to judge the tv's based on their specs, I was hoping some of the members owned these tvs, by the way this would be a bedroom tv. Feel free to weigh in.

No, you really don't want everybody to "weigh in"... you'll see what I mean.

I wouldn't say either is good, but I would be more apt to trust their LCD. The only people I trust a plasma from is Pioneer or Panasonic...

That's kind of like asking someone "Would you like a bullet in the head, or a shotgun blast to the chest?"

Yeah, but you can make a HD picture look "decent" on a low quality LCD computer monitor. I would look at a Vizio in the same regard...

Picture quality / item quality aside, I chose to not support shady companies like Vizio.

There's other low-cost flat panels that you could buy that are made by companies with better buisiness / human ethics.

Just my $0.02

I have no idea about vizio's reputation, I was at wal-mart tonite and they had pretty good prices plasma $518 and the Lcd $549, well if there are some 32" tvs for that price please share your knowledge.

I would choose LCD for a kids room any day over plasma. I am not trying to give you a hard time, if it were my kid it would be a cheap CRT for under $200. Of course, my oldest is 5.....

Do a search on this site for "Vizio," and you'll see why we dislike that company so much. You really would be better off with another budget brand, IMHO. We aren't trying to get you to go out and buy a top of the line TV...just anything but Vizio! lol

Two points:

1. There are other brands that offer the same pricepoint.

2. Vizio has a shady, unethical reputation (unlicensed or counterfeit components, landing them in a gigantic copyright lawsuit).

I give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you didn't know any of this.

Here, try this:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0017QA5PG/interactiveda8745-20

(I've seen it for about $550)

or this:

http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/d...LN32A330J1DXZA

(also seen it for $550)

or this:

http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-t...-33109811.html

...you get the picture.
