Default Types of Cases

In the past week I bought The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. I noticed that they have two different types of casing. One is the standard rounded edge case and the other is more of a box. Which made me wonder how many different types of Blu-ray cases there are.

Anybody have the answer?

Thats the way the cookie crumbles lol

It could be that maybe one was made way b4 the other, but was maybe it was placed in the warehouse until the second one was made as well, and at the time they needed boxing they started using a different casing. My theory

For normal sized BD cases there are two main types. The cheap rounded ones Warner and some other studios uses with the painted on Blu-ray logo that is rounder around the edges and slightly fatter. Then there are the cases with the raised embossed Blu-ray logo that Sony and some others use.

I purchased the Pirates boxset a few days back to find that movies 1 and 3 had the rounded "Warner" style cases and Dead Man's Chest had the kind Sony uses with the embosed Blu-ray disc logo. Weird. All three movies were in their own shrink wrap inside the case that holds all three movies.
