I was in wally world and saw the HDMoods "Enviroscapes" disc for the same price as that trains disc. They were touting it as a "screensaver for your hi-def tv" so I picked it up.

It came with two aquariums, two beaches a couple mountain scenese a couple flower scenese and finally a hi-def fireplace. My cats love the aquariums!

The PQ is very good, the AQ is "pretty good" and it's something to have on in the background or to demo the tv to friends with, the PQ is that good. Especially the beach scenes with the sound of the waves and birds.

I would buy that disc based on my experience with their Enviroscapes disc and for $9 you can't really go wrong.

That looks really interesting. I am a huge fan of TRAINS.

But I only have the Polar Express Lionel set and the Harry Potter Lionel set. I put them out at Christmas. I bought lots of extra track and some switches so I can run them all around the room.

Maybe I can post some photos when the holidays come.

Please do. I'm also a train fanatic. I never knew that HD Moods did one for trains. I have the Mountains, Beaches, Flowers and Fireplace. I may have to the Trains to my collection.

I always wanted a train. Just visited one of the largest miniature railroads at the L.A. County Fair. http://www.railserve.com/jump/jump.cgi?ID=20083

I just popped this in to check it out after seeing this thread. I picked this up in Costco hoping for some deep rumbling bass... nope. What I did see was some nice eye candy of some neat old steam engine trains for the most part in some nice locations. Definately geared towards die hard train fans. The DD soundtrack worked out my tweeters and high mid range though

The L.A. County Fair always has good model train layouts. I always go to the one in Costa Mesa (Orange County Marketplace) and they also have go layouts.

Trains rule, I am building a model railroad in my basement right now. I might be interested in that Blu-ray, but I'd want to know more about what its like.

Awesome!! What scale is it?? I had a HO scale before, but had to destroy it for moving purposes. One of these days I'll try to build another one.

Mine is HO too. I had a couple semi-temporary setups before, but now that I have my own house I am trying to do it right. So far all I have is the frame and about half of the roadbed done. Probably by the time its done I'll move somewhere else, but its fun building it anyway.

I find something appealing about trains. If I see it at WM when I pick up ROTF tomorrow, I will get it - I don't mind risking 9 bucks. It might be a nice backdrop when the family visits for the holidays; the National Park series I picked up at Costco also works for that application.

I have an old Lionel train set from the 50's or 60's that my late aunt gave me that was orginally belonged to her son. It even has some old "Plasticville" houses and buildings. I will set it up when I think my two nephews are old enough not to screw it up

, they are 5 and 8. Sadly, all the hobby shops in my area have closed down, in case i need to get replacement parts.

That is sweet! Did only 2 guys really make that whole thing? Mine isn't going to be quite as elaborate as that, no mount rushmore/stadiums/royal estates on mine!

I see no EVO!

But they do show the White Pass and Yukon GE class 90 diesel built in 1963. The newest one represented by far.

Wish they'd come out with one full of coverage of the APT, TGV, Bullet Train, etc., etc., with lots of POV shots. I'd love to get that.

The new speeds the TGV is setting on test tracks is insane, almost 600kph.

Wow that is FAST! check out 3:10 in that video, you can really tell the speed. It's a shame we don't have fast trains here now. I rode on the TGV from Paris to London and it was faster and less annoying than flying would have been, and such a smooth ride, and I could watch the scenery. I hope we get this in the US soon.

I picked this up in Costco hoping for some deep rumbling bass... nope. What I did see was some nice eye candy of some neat old steam engine trains for the most part in some nice locations. Definately geared towards die hard train fans. The DD soundtrack worked out my tweeters and high mid range though.
