Default I am new to Blu-Ray

I just got a playstation 3 for my birthday, and I went and picked up some blu ray movies (Casino Royale, Pans Labyrinth, and 310 To Yuma). All which visually look flawless and same with the audio, but one thing is they look to run faster? Like the movements of characters seem to be faster...are all blu ray movies like this?

What kind of TV do you have? If it has some sort of motionflow option that could be the reason. I personally find things almost unwatchable with that feature.

It looks like Toshiba calls their version of motionflow "Clear Frame." See if you can find an option for that somewhere in the menus. I know a lot of TV's that have this feature will let you apply it in varying degrees.

You might have accidently pushed fastforward and be watching in 1.5x mode.
You can still hear audio with the mode, so...

I was going to suggest that as a possibility, but it seems a bit ridiculous that it would happen with all 3 films...

I'm guessing it's what BStecke is suggesting...I've seen some 120Hz sets with that feature and it's really off-putting.

Anyway, welcome to the fold, Crim122. Blu-ray really is a wonderful thing. And you've picked some fine films. I own all of those titles, and they're all exceptional. As is Enter the Dragon, in my opinion...it's easily better than that movie has ever looked.

I wasn't as impressed as I was expecting to be. The opening has terrible black levels. The transfer is also featuring a decent amount of DNR the imports were devoid of.

I was referring to the US release with my comments. There has also been numerous comparison shots of the US release being compared to the import Blu versions. The DNR is quite evident.
