Default New HDX "rivals blu-ray"

http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/patterso...0#see_comments

most disturbing here i read "audio gets a bump as well: up to 640Kbps for Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtracks, same as Blu-ray."

ok so technically, that's not a lie: DD 5.1 on blu is up to 640k ( i think), but it definitely paints a false impression in peoples mind that DD is all blu has to offer.

let me know if this was already posted and i'll delete.

It's DTS that can go 1.5; garden-variety DD tops out at 640/kbp/s on BD.

I just emailed the Ben Patterson with the proper information since his article is misleading... Anyway I just hate when statements like these are made!

Kind of like saying, the new Festiva goes as fast as a Ferrari at 60 mph!

I don't think it was misleading at all.

Only the audio part...

And I just went back to the article and he corrected the statement!

Nice!
