Default BASS & Sleeping

Does the bass from your home theater put you to sleep?

I know if I'm not totally excited about watching a movie (i.e. transformer, IronMan or Hulk) I will fall asleep and I feel it has something to do with the bass. I mean I could have just taken a nap before I start a movie but it will have the same effect.

I know when my girlfriend comes over to watch a movie, she will be passed out before I know it.

I fell asleep when watching Transformers with the volume at 0db. I woke up at the credits.

It's something. Almost like looking at the watch swing back and forth and then counting backwards from 10-1.

I remember trying to watch one of the season of Battlestar G. and just kept falling asleep. I remember rewinding 3 times. Would wake up to the menu.

Have you ever tried watching the same footage with the sub turned off? It would be interesting to see what effect that has (or not, in your case)

kinda thought about it, but that would be boring....... lol
I think I may when the next time I am falling asleep, I will turn the sub off and rewind.

I have a truck with subs, but they dont make me fall asleep.....

I know exactly what your talking about it was happening in Zombies Halloween.

I like to go to sleep with some noise... Just not people talking. So not Music or TV on.

I usually dry or wash clothes at night, puts me right to sleep. If not that the next best thing is to hear the bass through the wall from the living room to my bedroom. Just dont like to sleep with with dead silence, I focus on little sounds if I do.

As to fall asleep to a movie as a plays... I wont dare do it. I can't, its impossible. Ill turn it off before I just fall asleep watching it.
