Receiver question

I am fairly new to home theatres.

I have a 56" samsung lcd 1080p and a 80 gb ps3 connected via hdmi

Now i am looking to get the surround sound going.

I checked out a receiver i might want to get...Thing is i have 2 cables ran thru my walls from behind the tv to above my couch.
So i guess i would need the receiver to have standard cable hook up in the back? Here is a link of the back of the receiver...Any info will be appreciated greatly! Also i have 1 hdmi right now...do i need another or do i need optical cables? I guess what all will i need? I am on a tight budget.
