Default The Triangle or House of the Devil?

Both films are coming out February 2nd, I only have enough money to buy Zombieland and one of these films, so which do I go for?

both crap. spend your money on an actually good title coming out feb 2 like walk the line, fear and loathing, to live and die in la, mystic river, the man from earth, the godfather 1/2, or the last king of scotland

Or how about actually answering his question as asked.

I'm picking them both up, but I love these types of films. I thought House Of The Devil was very good. It had an 80's horror vibe to it, so if you like a lot of those films you will probably like this. That said the trailer for The Triangle looks very good. Decisions, decisions.

I'm thinking House of the Devil right now, but tell me what you think of Triangle after you watch it.

As a horror fan, I really enjoyed House of the Devil. That would be my vote.

Received the TRIANGLE BD and watched it....and liked it a lot !!!!!
If you want a creepy but simple horrorfilm get House of the Devil, and if you want an intelligent psychological thriller (a good mindf**k actually) then get Triangle.
If you ask me which film I think has best rewatch value ,I'd say TRIANGLE most definately.
I myself need both on BD !!

I haven't seen either.
But I just looked up Triangle, and it looks good.
I think I'm going to blind buy it.

Triangle I loved... especially if you like the look of Melissa George this is basically HER PIECE... the supporting cast are a little ropey but they're never around long enough to car. The film centralises on Melissa George and her ordeal.

It's great and will need at least two viewings to understand the ending. Had Melissa not explained it at the premiere I probably wouldn't have got it first time around... She's lovely *swoons*

I found House Of The Devil very slow with a great shock in the middle but that's about it. It's one of those films like Triangle that has to be watched as most of the threat is concealed in the set up, for example the Broach the wife wears in the House the girl goes to...

Could you explain about the ending, as I'm not sure I got it. With spoiler tags ofcourse.

So if you already know the twist there's nothing else to really get out of the film? That's a shame. Someone spoiled the twist for me a few weeks ago. I was hoping the ending was reason enough to see the movie, well, that and the nostalgic 80s look of the film.

Well, I've seen both movies now. Both films are enjoyable but for entirely different reasons. House of the Devil has a nice 80s horror vibe about it and though I felt a little let down by the ending it thankfully didn't drag quite as badly as I've heard. Triangle seemed to be an amalgam of several earlier mindf**k type movies albeit with better production values, better acting and more twists. It definitely was not what I was expecting from Christopher Smith after seeing Severance though.

I pre-ordered Triangle and will probably pick up House of the Devil the following week.

Thanks.
