Well, I've seen both movies now. Both films are enjoyable but for entirely different reasons. House of the Devil has a nice 80s horror vibe about it and though I felt a little let down by the ending it thankfully didn't drag quite as badly as I've heard. Triangle seemed to be an amalgam of several earlier mindf**k type movies albeit with better production values, better acting and more twists. It definitely was not what I was expecting from Christopher Smith after seeing Severance though.

I pre-ordered Triangle and will probably pick up House of the Devil the following week.

Thanks.

House of the Devil is awfully slow, even if the movie had been made in the late 70's, which it tries to emulate in look and style.

Firstly, I think its so cool someone put these 2 movies in same thread. After reading about both, I picked them both up from Amazon. and loved them both.

House of the Devil - As mentioned earlier here, horror with 80's vibe is so true for this. If you love that period, you will love this. The Amazon vhs/dvd collector's edition really ramps up to 80's kitsch factor...but there's no blu version of that edition.

Triangle - Beautiful blu transfer of very Twilight Zone like time shifting story. And of course Melissa George is beautiful.

I'm glad I bought them since I will definitely be having repeat viewings of each.

I've heard very good things about both movies-- I ordered TRIANGLE from Amazon with the recent price drop and should get it Monday or Tuesday--

HOUSE I'm waiting to lower price a bit more....
