I've had my eye on the UPA-7, but it will be awhile until I go that route. Make sure you get a receiver with some good DAC's. Do you have any brands you are partial to or want to steer away from? and of course... price range for a receiver

this emotiva unit will be much much better than a yamaha 663. Good call Zippo. With the budget you are looking at for a receiver, you wont find much in the way of processing. Since you are getting a good amp anyways, don't bother paying extra for one in a receiver.

I might just do a complete overhaul next year and get myself a pair of the UPA-7s,

Love to hear your reviews/comments if and when you do get them, Blue.
