Blu-ray Samurai

The kids tried to play Disney's Dinosaur (DVD, not Blu-ray) on our living room PS3 today, but the PS3 doesn't even recognize that a disc has been inserted. I tried the same DVD on our bedroom PS3 and it plays just fine.
I tested out a handful of regular DVD's in the living room PS3, and it recognized and played all of them just fine. Any idea why it doesn't recognize some discs? Admittedly, we don't watch very many DVD's anymore, but I'm concerned that the PS3 might be running into a problem here. FYI - Both PS3's have the latest firmware update, but our living room PS3 is an older 80gb, whereas the bedroom PS3 is a brand new 80gb. The Dinosaur DVD is not scratched, smudged or damaged. Also, please don't reply with "why not just get Dinosaur on Blu-ray?" as that doesn't solve the dilemma. ![]() |
