Question Best Blu-ray player for Mitsu 60" DLP 1080P?

The TV model is the wd-60735, Its 1080P (1920x1080) DLP. I have seen it in the store and I fell in love with the TV. It is on sale on Black Friday for $999. I'm not sure if I will be able to get the money by Black Friday but Even If I dont I still think I want to go with this TV. I'm going to be hooking up my computer along with a Wii to the TV. I'm not really huge into sound quality as I really do not care.. I would probably get a 5.1 surround sound or a 7.1 surround sound.. nothing too fancy. Video performance is what Im really looking for. (quality, loading speed, firmware updates.)

Now I plan on shopping for a Blu-Ray Player on Black Friday as well.

Now I see a couple of different deals on Blu-Ray players on Black Friday.

Sony BDPS350 for $179.99
and
Samsung BDP-1500 BD for $199.99
and
Magnavox Blu-ray Disc Player, NB500MG9 for $128

Now I have heard the magnavox doesnt come with a HDMI cable and I would have to buy that separate putting the cost at around $150+
Do the other players come with HDMI cables? Which is the best deal?

And just incase.. What If I cant get either of them on Black Friday.. which is the better deal when it comes to retail cost?

Oh and one final note.. If I get more money I might get the 65" DLP from mitsubishi 735 series.

Sorry for all the questions, but a guy needs to know these things. I'm not a blu-ray expert and I don't know the technical terms. I consider myself well educated and gadget savvy. So I'll be glad to learn as much as I can before my final purchase.

Thank you,

Gatorlangman

P.S
Not that is probably matters but here are my computer specs:

Quadcore Q6600 @ 3.6ghz, 4GB OCZ Flex 2 @ 1200mhz, 8800GT (Dual DVI outputs), 1TB HDD.

I would probably look at the Sony BDPS350. Those are getting pretty good reviews. Most Blu-ray players do not come with an HDMI. Just order one right now from Monoprice.com. $5. Good Luck.

Thanks for the info on how to get HDMI cables for cheap!

Do you have any direct links to HDMI cables on that site that are the best deal? I seen some with gold connectors and some that are 1.3a etc.. I dont know anything about HDMI cables.

I will also need atleast 1 DVI to HDMI cable for hooking up my computer to the TV. My computer is about 10 feet away from the TV. So if you have any direct links to DVI to HDMI and plain HDMI to HDMI cables that would be fantastic.

Don't worry about "added extras" or brands when it comes to HDMI. Just get a cheap one that is at least 1.3. It should do the same thing as the more expensive monster cables. Also, the S350 is a great player.

The links to the cables above will do just fine.

Thanks guys for all your help...

Also one other thing..

Do you know if anyone makes KVM switches that have DVI instead of standard VGA adapters?

Yeah, but they are pretty expensive. How many inputs would you need?

Well my computer has dual DVI outputs and I have Dual 19" Samsung LCDs hooked up. I like to use the dual monitors for every day use. In order to hook up my computer to the TV I would need to unplug one monitor and plug in the cable for the TV. Its just a slight inconvenience... A KVM switch could switch between my second computer monitor and the TV. If its more than $20 im not gonna worry about it.. Just figured I would ask.

EDIT:

Also anyone with the 60" or 65" Mitsubishi have their computer hoooked up to it? If so how is the quality? What resolution are you running it at? If you have pictures of your setup with your computer displayed on the TV that would be great.

Alright.. well my initial thought was HDMI cables were expensive and I was proved wrong.. So I was hoping i would be proved wrong about the KVM switches .

Does everyone think the 60" or 65" Mitsubishi DLP is better than getting a 50 or 52" LCD or plasma?

Thats preference, but for the price, that is really hard to beat. If you were going to spend more money, I would say go Plasma. But a 60 DLP projector for 999 is a great deal.

Well If i cant get it on Black friday the 60" DLP would be...

$1,218.99-$1300

Would it still be a better deal than a 50 or 52" plasma or LCD?

What kind of Plasma did you have. The new ones are rated to last longer than previous plasmas.

Alright so Im pretty sure im gonna stick with the 60" DLP. I have heard its best to be atleast 8 feet away from the TV or else the image looks fuzzy but today when I went into best buy the image looked great even at 5 feet.. is this just a general rule? Its fine for me and my gf.. so guess thats all that matters?

The couch is 9 feet away.

Well, if the tv looks great to you, that's all that matters. Here are recommended viewing distances for a 60" tv:

Maximum recommended viewing distance: 22.6ft
Maximum recommended SMPTE viewing distance: 8.1ft
Maximum THX viewing distance: 9.4ft
Recommended THX viewing distance: 6.7ft

Alright guys, I got the money to buy the blu-ray player..

I probably won't have the money for the TV untill around christmas time though

If I have a standard tube TV will it have problems running the blu-ray player? or will it scale down to standard resolution?

Here you do dude. This is the DVI to HDMI cable I just bought for mine. Great stuff. I'm using the cable for hooking my Mac mini to my Mits 73" DLP. By the way the one your looking at getting is the smaller version of mine and is a fanatastic TV. You may want to check the prices at amazon.com. great deals there.
