well, after you've read the article below, you can make your own mind up.
http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?op...=4831&Itemid=2 Should one really have to go to those lengths to earn them?. It's definitely bonkers what some people will try and is defnitely bordeline insanity IMO |

thats crazy for 60 points. he spent 60 bucks for 60 points. people who have high achievment points brag way to much, when it actually shows how much you have no life. although i will admit after playing the 360 and unlocking achievments its hard playing a ps3 or wii game without hearing that achievment sound

He has the right to do what he wants with his money, but I would never do that. Achievment Points was made to be a brag right for gamers. I find it has a goal for me to shoot for to complete the game.

I must admit, Achievement Points have to an extent, breathed new life into some games for me. Once upon a time I just played through a game, beat it, and then shelved it. APs have made me go through trying to unlock them, thus bumping up the replay value. I won't buy/play a game that sucks just to pad my gamerscore, but in a case such as Crackdown, it has added a minimum of 5-10 more hours to the game for me, and I'm still not close to completing it all (APs that is).
I look at APs as cred to myself, no one else. I rarely play online (most of my time playing is actually at my 2nd job - I know, rough life ![]() |

Home's achievements sound really nice, but I'm going to wait and see.
