Acheivement points driving people to insanity?

APs have made me go through trying to unlock them, thus bumping up the replay value. I look at APs as cred to myself, no one else. I rarely play online (most of my time playing is actually at my 2nd job - I know, rough life ), I just hook it up once every week or two to check for updates or new XBLA games.
