I must admit, Achievement Points have to an extent, breathed new life into some games for me. Once upon a time I just played through a game, beat it, and then shelved it. APs have made me go through trying to unlock them, thus bumping up the replay value. I won't buy/play a game that sucks just to pad my gamerscore, but in a case such as Crackdown, it has added a minimum of 5-10 more hours to the game for me, and I'm still not close to completing it all (APs that is).

I look at APs as cred to myself, no one else. I rarely play online (most of my time playing is actually at my 2nd job - I know, rough life ), I just hook it up once every week or two to check for updates or new XBLA games.

I love achievements too. It's just an added bonus to playing games.

Same here, it's actually fun watching your gamer score rise and feeling a sense that you are completing every aspect of a game.

Same here, by the way what's your 2nd job and are they hiring?

Security/Dispatch for a busing company. I just make sure there is no vandalism. Truth be told, I get paid a pittance and would much rather be at home with the family and gaming in HD (work has 27" 4:3 SD CRT), but hey, getting paid and playing games isn't all bad.

I'm torn when it comes to AP. I feel like they are a distraction, yet do add another dimension to the games. I think the Home achievements will be cool. you can have trophies around your pad...

Home's achievements sound really nice, but I'm going to wait and see.
